Sunday. We do some rafting down the Colorado. Adrift Adventures provides the transportation, ride and guide. I wouldn't say that we could call this "whitewater" rafting. There was very little whitewater involved. But we had fun and took quite a few photos.

Monday. We visit Arches National Park, located just North of Moab, Utah. As usual nothing is ever as easy at it looks in the visitor center. We started at "Balanced Rock". We made the hike to Landscape Arch and then continued a bit more up to Partition Arch.

Tuesday. Our mountain biking guides Silvi and Michael from Rim Tours take us on the Klondike Bluffs trail. The trailhead starts 20 miles North of Moab near the airport. This is some of the best mountain biking our group has done. It was challenging for a group of relatively novice biking enthusiasts, but you could take it slow and easy and still make the whole ride. At the top we hike into Arches National Park for a great view.

Wednesday. After stopping for breakfast at "Love Muffin Cafe" we head to Canyonlands National Park. This park has several entrances, and we chose to head to the closest one about 40 miles from Moab. There is no way that a camera can begin to convey the sights we found here. Around every corner we were in awe/

Thursday. We take it pretty easy. Jerry takes a few of us disc golfing, but man was it hot. Later in the afternoon we head back to Arches National Park to take a guided tour of The Fiery Furnace. Ranger Joel is perhaps the most entertaining park ranger we have ever met. The video segment is basically just Ranger Joel. I ran out of tape trying to catch his every move.

Friday. We pack up to head back to Salt Lake City. On the way we make one last stop in Arches National Park to see Delicate Arch. The unofficial symbol of the State of Utah, it was a difficult 1.5 mile hike with about 500 foot elevation gain to see this one in person. Marshall and Tom make the hike up in 27 minutes 16 seconds. A record perhaps?
